Preparations for the Winter Fair

Preparations for the Winter Fair

A quick up date from the PTFA. There is a lot of work being put in behind the scenes for the school’s upcoming Winter Fair. We’re all very excited and looking forward to getting our photo with Santa on 9/12!

Flyers went out in the children’s bookbags this week so please take a look if you
haven’t already. We will be formally congratulating the school and Karen for the tremendous result in maintaining the school’s OUTSTANDING OFSTED RATING so please get along to the Winter Fair to help in congratulating the school and Karen.

We have had a great response from parents/carers in terms of volunteering for the Fair, so thank you to all those that have already signed up. We could always do with
more volunteers, as it stands of the approx. 700 parents/carers less than 4% have signed up. Please follow the link: https://volunteersignup.org/FH9JFthere, there are
plenty of spots available. Particularly, we need help with Santa’s Grotto, if anyone has experience in Stage Props or costumes to help with the preparation for the
day. Please email the PTFA williampattenptfa@gmail.com or sign up via the link.

The school will hold their inaugural Festive Jumper day which will be next Friday 1st December. On this day can we please ask for donations of wrapped bottles of
alcoholic/non alcoholic drink or wrapped candy for the Tombola event at the Winter Fair. The raffle will also be running this year and drawn at the Fair, with raffle ticket books going out in bookbags next week. The major prize will be an Apple ipad as well as lots of prizes from the local community. Keep your eyes out for that too! Please sell as many as you can!

William Patten Merchandise has had a small revamp, the new merchandise has been ordered and will be available for sale at the Fair... very exciting. Thank you to Jen for sorting this.

The brown envelopes that went out recently are for the Wishing Tree stall at the Fair. Please return these with coins, notes or chocolate coins as you will be able to
purchase wishes from the Wishing Tree at the Fair.

Finally, the PTFA had an exciting call with the HACKNEY OUTDOORS organisation this week and we discussed Outdoor Learning and building biodiverse environments at the WP playgrounds. More on this later.
